Best Practices for CADRe Workgroup
The Best Practices Workgroup will identify and establish the necessary skills and practices to train the next generation of practitioners in computer aided dispute resolution. Computer aided dispute resolution is a groundbreaking field that combines technical analysis and modeling with collaboration and traditional planning principles.
CADRe Book Development Workgroup
The CADRe Book Development Workgroup has created a draft proposal for a book about CADRe with the working title: “The Use of Computer-Aided Dispute Resolution for Water Resources Management: History, Opportunities, and Challenges.”
CADRe Software and Models Workgroup
The CADRe Software and Models Workgroup goal is to address and answer the question of what role computer modeling has in the collaborative process and how to build trust in standard computer software for shared vision planning processes.
Education and Training in CADRe Workgroup
The Education and Training in CADRe Workgroup supports practicing engineers and modelers to help them gain the skills needed to facilitate or at least participate productively in CADRe sessions. The cross-disciplinary nature and nascent stage of CADRe as a field creates educational challenges at all levels.
Future Visions for Collaboration with HEC Models Workgroup
The Future Visions for Collaboration with HEC Models Workgroup is evaluating the contribution the Hydrologic Engineering Center (HEC) can make to CADRe collaboration and the role computer modeling has in the collaborative process.
Integrating CADRe into NEPA Workgroup
The Integrating CADRe into NEPA Workgroup will recommend how to assist those within Federal agencies who are responsible for conducting environmental reviews to expand the effective use of collaboration as part of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
Literature Review Update Workgroup
The Literature Review Workgroup will review and provide updates of the available literature on Shared Vision Planning issues.
Research Needs Workgroup
The Research Needs Workgroup will address the need to include more synthesis from many applications rather than individual case study write ups and descriptions in order to develop Performance Measures for CADRe processes, design case study demonstrations where concepts can be tested and further developed, and address the interface of CADRe with Integrated Water Resources Management. The workgroup will compile data from the other working groups, identifying which resources are needed to accomplish the CADRe research agenda.
